Turkish Protesters Demand Pope's Arrest
土耳其抗议者要求扣押教皇
Pope Benedict is continuing to face demands from the Muslim world to apologize for his controversial comments about Islam.Turkish workers from a religious affairs union demonstrated in Ankara Tuesday, demanding the pope apologize or cancel his planned trip to Turkey.
Some of the protesters called for the arrest of the pontiff when he visits the predominantly Muslim country in late November. But Turkey's government says it expects the trip to go ahead on schedule.
教皇本笃十六世继续面临来自穆斯林世界要求就其有争议的有关伊斯兰教言论道歉的压力。土耳其一个宗教事务联合会的工人星期二在安卡拉抗议示威,要求教皇道歉或是取消预定对土耳其的访问。
一些抗议者呼吁,在教皇11月底访问穆斯林占人口多数的土耳其时,将教皇抓起来。但是土耳其政府说,预计教皇访问土耳其的行程如期进行。
