North Korea Vows to Conduct Nuclear Test

北韩誓言进行核试验

North Korea's foreign ministry says the country will conduct a nuclear test to bolster its defenses against what it calls “U.S. hostility”. In response to that announcement Tuesday, South Korea said it has strengthened its security level and alert status. The Japanese and British foreign ministries condemned the announcement, saying such a test would result in serious consequences.

But the Russian foreign ministry cast doubts on the threat, saying North Korea has made similar claims before. Moscow said those claims have not been substantiated.

北韩外务省说，北韩将进行一次核试验，加强针对北韩所称“美国敌意”的防御能力。做为北韩宣布的回应，韩国星期二说提升自己的安全级别和警戒状态。日本外务省和英国外交部都对北韩的宣布提出谴责，说这样的试验会带来严重后果。

但是俄罗斯外交部对北韩的威胁表示怀疑，说北韩以前也曾做出过类似声明。莫斯科说，那些宣称都没有得到证实。
