Landslide in Indonesian Sweeps Homes and Mosque

Indonesian police say 13 people are feared dead after a landslide swept over several homes and a small mosque. Police say rescuers are having difficulty reaching the 13 who were buried alive Monday when a landslide struck the village on Sumatra island.

Seasonal downpours cause flash floods and landslides every year in Indonesia. The country has been hit by several disasters in the past month, including a plane crash and a capsized ferry that killed hundreds of people.
